Rue Rupprecht
Rue was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, where she grew up surrounded by an active, outdoor lifestyle. She played many team sports throughout her childhood, which eventually led her to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder (CU). The energy of Boulder’s active community helped inspire her to stay physically engaged, and she now enjoys a variety of movement practices—including teaching yoga part-time.
In 2023, Rue began a Master’s in Sports Product Design at the University of Oregon to follow her passion for designing sports apparel and footwear, especially for women. Her portfolio includes work from the program that highlights her focus on creating functional, innovative products.
Rue's projects focus on underserved user groups with the goal of making sports more inclusive. She uses research and user feedback to guide her design process and create meaningful, science-backed solutions.
After graduating in June 2025, Rue is seeking opportunities that blend her technical expertise with her passion for design, with a particular focus on women's footwear and apparel.
